Who are we?

Donna Digital Receptionists is a virtual receptionist company that helps people grow their businesses while taking back their life. Most people didn’t get in business to answer the phones. They started a business to help their customers, to build new technology, or to change the world. They can’t do that if they’re fielding calls from telemarketers.

Our professional virtual receptionist team is just like having a receptionist right there in the office with you. We handle all our clients’ inbound calls, schedule appointments, and capture any leads that might call in to give our clients the peace of mind that their business is growing while they get to take back their life.

Agent 1

This entry-level position is the backbone of Donna Digital Receptionists and one of our most important roles. Virtual Receptionists are a remote, work anywhere role that helps support our client businesses by handling their phone calls just like you were sitting in an office beside their team. Read this post to learn more about what a virtual receptionist is:


You are the front-line person that will be responsible for answering phones on behalf of our clients and representing those client businesses to the outside world. Your ability to handle sometimes challenging calls may mean the difference between our client getting a new customer and them getting a bad review online. 


You will be responsible for answering calls quickly and with a friendly attitude, taking call notes in a fast and efficient manner, emailing notes to clients, screening calls to understand if an inbound call is a lead, a client, or a sales call and handling appropriately. You will also help to schedule appointments with clients using simple calendaring software and make the occasional outbound call to support our client businesses. This is NOT outbound sales or telemarketing. 


Traits that a successful applicant will have include:

  • Quick learner/researcher
  • Problem solver
  • Able to deal with difficult people/situations with a cool head. (But don’t worry, an agent always has permission to hang up if the caller is berating them or swearing. We’ve got your back!)
  • A pleasant, professional demeanor – even when a caller isn’t. We are the face of our client’s company so we need to maintain that good attitude.
  • The ability to take complete, accurate, and helpful call summary emails.
  • Meet or exceed metrics for efficiency and production while working.
  • Be a team player, help to elevate your peers to be their best.
  • Set appointments. (Inbound and outbound) Ask the extra questions of a caller to set the appointment, quote services, or collect information.


Minimum Requirements

  • Typing speed of at least 45 WPM
  • Phone and computer literacy to operate commercial call center software and CRM
  • Demonstrated ability to perform customer-facing role with friendliness and a cool head


Career Progression

We always seek to promote from within for all positions whenever possible, so the Agent 1 position is the place to make your mark and build your career with Donna Digital. From the Agent 1 level on the front line, the immediate next step is the Agent 2 and Agent 3 levels. Each of these positions will take on increasing management responsibilities and decrease their client-facing workload. At the Agent 3 level, your time will be split about 50/50 on managerial responsibilities and client work.


Compensation & Benefits

We believe in taking care of our team and one of the core missions of Donna Digital Receptionists is to provide good jobs to great humans. That means making sure that we are giving our team good pay and benefits that actually matter.

  • This position starts out at $10/hr during the 90-day probationary period, after which you will be given a raise to $12/hr and all the following benefits will vest:
  • Annual raises based on performance
  • Flexible work location – work from anywhere that you have a stable internet connection
  • Succulent plant subscription to keep your home workspace cheery and your mood up (US-only)
  • A subscription to the meditation app, Calm. Mindset is everything and we want to make sure that your mind is in tip top condition.
  • Annual bonuses based on company performance
  • Headset stipend. You’re on the phone a lot. We can at least help you get a comfortable headset.
  • Paid company holidays plus paid sick time.
  • 180 days of paid maternity/paternity leave after 1 year at the company.
  • FMLA time off
  • Paid voting leave
